Heaven and Hell according to Islam

A. Definition of Heaven

In the Qur'an (Islam), the concept of heaven is meant the translation of the Arabic word, Jannah - plural of Jinan - which means "garden, a garden". He is the eternal place in the afterlife and is for Allah's servants who believe and work righteous, a place which gives pleasure you've never felt while living in the world and in return toil away fulfilling orders and prohibitions.

Of meaning "garden", it seems very appropriate when the Qur'an portray Al-Jannah (heaven) as a beautiful place, filled with pohonn-leafy trees, a river where the water runs clear and all other beauty. It is intended as well as a number of commentators underlined that the situation in paradise, so beautiful and unimaginable joy to humans.

Inside are all things that captivate and delight the heart as well as the view, in which there is anything that has not been seen by the eye, has never been heard by the ears and have never thought of by the mind. Therefore, Allah Subhanahu wata'aala said:

فلا تعلم نفس ما أخفي لهم من قرة أعين جزاء بما كانوا يعملون

"Yet no one knows what is hidden for them (an assortment of favors) which menyedapkan eyes in response to what they have done."
(As Sajdah: 17).

As disclosed above, heaven and hell is a natural continuation of the good and evil deeds of men. Logically humans need both their charity in return. If the pious charity in return is heaven and hell is the opposite for the unbelievers and apostates verses. This is more explained again that Heaven is a great place to hell and vice versa.
إن الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات كانت لهم جنات الفردوس نزلا (107) خالدين فيها لا يبغون عنها حولا (108)
"Surely those who believe and do good deeds, for them are Gardens of Paradise a place to live, they dwell therein, they do not want to move from it."
(Al-Kahf: 107-108).

(Namely) those who believe in Our Signs and are their first ones who have surrendered. Enter ye the Garden, ye and your wives digembirakan. (Az-Zukhruf TQS. [43]: 69-70),

Except those who are patient (disaster), and do righteous deeds;them that they might receive forgiveness and a great reward.(TQS. Hud [11]: 23).

B. Definition of Hell
The Prophet said:
The hell it was pitch black, has no lighting except fire burning. The Hell has seven doors and each door that has seventy thousand hills, each hill has seventy thousand branches, each branch is made up of the smaller parts. And each smaller piece was composed of seventy thousand hamlet. And each village was seventy-thousand homes and a fire blazing. Each house was seventy thousand snakes and scorpions
Hell in the terminology of the Qur'an has several senses, of which:

1) Natural afterlife where torture for sinners,
2) Damn, and
3) The state or a miserable place, severe illness, and poverty.
In the terminology of the Qur'an, called a naar word hell, which means the fire lit.

By the term, such as hell means a place of torment for those children who sins and mistakes.
Hell is a place of torture in which the most excruciating punishment described as fire. The names of the hell that is used in the Qur'an: al-Naar (fire), Hell, al-Jahim (burning), al-Sa'ir (flares), al-Saqar (consuming fire), al- Hawiyah (ravine), al-which breaks to pieces (crushed fire).
Naar is a very hot fire, or the fire that made her genie. As for the verses that use the word naar found that 194 times. Hell, which has the meaning of a deep well. The word Hell mentioned in the Qur'an as much as 77 times.

Prospective Residents of Hell
In the word of God there are six characteristics of people who will be thrown into Jahannam.
People who are very broken in that they are very gentile, where they do various kinds of infidelity either acts or speech. Or those that paganism has gained in his heart.
Stubborn: the defiance of the truth, deal with evil while he knows the truth. Even if the truth was offered to him, he does not want to accept the truth even though it was so obvious. As a result, it will be a lot sinner, braved the prohibitions of Allah.

Greatly hinder virtue: virtue here means all sorts of virtues. As if he were looking for every kind of virtue for him so he prevented blocking all kinds of good deeds, and the largest is faith in God, His angels, His books, and His apostles, as well as deter someone to preach her. He also did not fulfill what was his duty, does not want to do good, stay in touch, and bershadaqah. He preclude himself to struggle with his property and in the case of the blessed God.

Encroach: breaking the boundaries of the law of God and violate the rights of creatures, so he told them to do evil. Namely, not only did he dissuade someone to do good, but he is also doing evil to him. This sort of treatment of the Quraysh against the Prophet. They forbade him n do good at the same time they do evil to him.As he also exceeded the limit in spending his money.Qatadahmenafsirkan: "That is beyond the talk, the way and all his affairs."

Again hesitation: that is embedded in her doubt and indecision.Likewise, he casts doubt on the others, both in terms of doubt God's promise or His threat, so there is no faith and goodness in him.
Who worship another god along with Allah: includes all persons who devote themselves and humiliate themselves to other than Allah.

For those who have these qualities, Allah said:
"Then throw him into the torment."

From Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, the Prophet said:

يخرج عنق من النار يتكلم يقول: وكلت اليوم بثلاثة; بكل جبار عنيد, ومن جعل مع الله إلها آخر, ومن قتل نفسا بغير نفس فتنطوي عليهم فتقذفهم في غمرات جهنم
A neck out of hell, he could speak. He also said: "On this day I submitted (torture) of three groups: human beings are arrogant anymore renegade, one who makes god but Allah, with Him, and whoever kills a soul not because of Qisas." So that is wrapped around the neck them and throw them into the enormity of doom Hell. (Narrated by Ahmad)
